What do you think about getting rid of resign/autoresign?

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • For all those who weren't here when it happened, I snagged a screenshot of what Nojo's post originally looked like. For some reason I felt like seeing the spot reserved for his argument was a pretty funny site, so I kept it to share with the world. 8-)

I had to. What if somebody at replied before me? It would have totally de-railed the entire argument.

Players being able to come back at any time and hire all their built up specialists and cause havok would be a tactical twist we would have to prepare for.

It may also make players more comfortable if they have to leave a game for real world reasons for a while.

Would you still leave the bases in outline to indicate a player has been absent so we don't need to constantly check how long it's been since they logged in?

This may end up being a question of monetization. You want people to feel they are getting their money's worth. Is it a value to not have the game kick you out if you paid for it, or does it feel like a cheat to other paying players that someone inactive can still jump in?

I don't know what the plan is for mometization so I can't even guess the answer to that.

I agree on that. No more need be said by me.
    Baa.

  • I probably prefer the impact of auto resign to someone just sitting there doing nothing who you can't talk to, but it is frustrating when people clearly quit just because they can't win. I think I would leave autoresign but get rid of quit, so L1s who just give up have a bit of a reason.not to just quit and try their luck in a new game when it gets tricky as they would have to wait for the auto to kick in.

  • Combining everybody's ideas, would it make sense to have all outposts within a certain radius around the queen get martyred, and the others act like reigned bases normally do?
