Best moments of Subterfuge

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • Do here is a manuver I pulled off in my current game. Green had betrayed me and was being annoying. So I sent a sub with a liteanantluetenant to get one of his weaker factories. He of course has retaliated. However most of his subs have 7 drillers. Against my liteanantluetenant this would work but I can promote in a few hours. This will make all of his attacks completely useless. He is launching 7 every production cycle so hopefully I can make him waste more drillers before he realizes I plan to promote.

    The most satisfying battles are the ones in which you outsmart you enemies with your specialists.

  • One of the craftiest specialist I've seen is the pirate. He can steal gifts, take back specialist lost in sub to sub combat, and is a key factor in most Queen killing strategies. He can also be used for his speed boost when paired with a Navigator to lock onto a sub near an opponents outpost before switching targets to the outpost.

    One of my favorite examples of this was when someone by the name of Aesynil had only one base left, but he used some insane combination of Generals, Saboteurs, a Pirate, and a Navigator to slowly weasel his way all the way through the second strongest person's bases. Eventually, he trapped the second strongest person's queen in a Navi-Pirate sub trap. After that, Aesynil got a Hypnotist allowing him to take his vanquished opponents King and the mine it sat on. Aesynil finished that match in third place.
    Zyxe? Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time.

  • I thought this was funny. Essentially repelled his army and destroyed 100 of his drillers with the sentry with 0 losses.

    What happened was he sent a driller sub and a war hero specialist sub. I moved in a sentry last minute hired a saboteur, repelled his drillers with the saboteur, pirate back my saboteur twice and then move my 6 drillers out his specialist just bounce off doing 0 driller damage.

  • Here's a recap I made about a game with several interesting moments. Sorry for the length and awful scripting (or lack thereof).

    Great moves I loved it.
    My faith has found a resting place,
    Not in device or creed;
    I trust the ever-living One,
    His wounds for me shall plead.
    I need no other argument,
    I need no other plea,
    It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.

    The one time I don't preview my post everything goes to hell.
