  • Disgraced Commander Silverberg, former Appalachian Third Navy. Modarch Sector Excursion, Day 0: Planning Phase.

My airship has landed near Haik Station, responding to a distress signal submitted by freshly conscripted Comrade Niverio. Because I've not stopped to refuel in some time, I will need to harvest another 200 kilograms of Element 93 before I can depart. Unfortunately, the cause of the distress signal was immediately apparent: a few self-proclaimed "gods" had already set up shop in this Sector, bringing their sizable followings with them. My Pager immediately started buzzing with information, text flying over both public and secured channels. Niverio thanked me for my quick response, saying that he had requested support from three other well-known figures in the area. Lord Nojo approached me on a secure channel, claiming that I was a runaway peasant from his castle - nevermind the fact that peasants have no place in a castle to any capacity. Clearly the man is off his rocker.

My pager beeped again, its pattern signaling two new arrivals - Order Mage Vernon Vext had arrived with Order Commander Matthew Ward. There was a disparity among the two in their response, however: While Mage Vext was willing to contribute his own sizable detachment to our aid, Ward began to rave about some Greater Good, about serving Modz-Gods' Will. Has the Order failed to teach the fact of the One True God, such that their current top brass worships tangible and heathen deities? I'll have him captured and flayed for treason and blasphemy!

Two men have yet to be accounted for. Once Warboss TopKilla and The Janitor arrive, we can begin retaking this Sector, mile by bloody mile.

  • My loyal forumers!
I come to you tonight, on the eve of the darkest civil war these forums have ever known, to renew our promise to you! We, the Modarchy, with power granted to us by Ron and Noel (praise be), shall ever endeavor to pursue peace, justice, and liberty for these hallowed forums! Heed not the words of these upstart "revolutionaries!" Instead, pity them, for they know not the pain and destruction that they bring upon you, the common forumer!
In these coming days, we will see struggles of the like that this world has never seen before! But fear not! For this burden is not on you, my dear subjects! We, the Modarchy, take this yoke upon ourselves! We vow, upon the Word of the Devs, that we will not rest until we see peace in these forums!
Continue on, my children, confident in the guiding hand of the Mods, for we shall not fail you! We ask only for your support and your prayers.

  • So will Lord General TopKilla be available to attend his own Revolution, or shall I forward our invitation to The Menace in his stead?

  • Sorry guys.

I have no desire to play this game anymore. - I came back and played a few games after a few month long break hoping I'd find the game enjoyable again. But, I didn't. I unsurprisingly found all the things that previously bothered, still do. And along with it, even more recently discovered annoyances.

I should like to dismiss you as a defeatist! You instigated this action, yet fail to see it to its rightful conclusion! Should we fail on our endeavor, history shall place the cold hand of blame squarely on you.

    A traitor to your people.

Also Panda, edit the list slightly - TopKilla has been replaced with mm1menace.

Warboss TopKilla has rejected the distress signal. In his stead I've elected to hire a powerful mercenary to command the Resistance's leftover men: Maxwell Mateba - The Menace. The Janitor had come in just before, but fell to the same delusions of grandeur as Ward and the others. I'll need him tranquilized and brought to the Infirmary for treatment. Surely the effects of this infection - it must be an infection or parasite of some sort - is reversible.

An Elder has made landfall to my southeast. Elder Panda, I know not from whence he came, has entered the field. He claims that he is present to moderate the bloodshed that is about to occur in this otherwise beautiful Sector. I'm inclined to believe his Benevolence. At his suggestion, the false gods and the Resistance agreed to have a twenty-four hour ceasefire so as to ensure a fair expansion period for all.

Now, the war begins in earnest. 'Tis truly a shame I must now make battle with these men. I recognize their faces from the dossiers being passed around as I recognize their voices coming out of my Pager. These were some of the brightest and most dependable tacticians I've ever had the pleasure of working with, but I must push these thoughts of regret from my head. That was history, and my Tactical Genius™ is needed in the present. With my borders secured by the loyalty and resilience of my fellow Partisans, as well as the goodwill and radiance of the Elder, I can focus my efforts on rapidly escalating my Command Severity Index. As I arrange for additional special tools to be airlifted in to fit the Severity, my Drillers will become increasingly potent as they are retrofitted with components my engineers do not currently have on hand.

Those who would oppose the One True God shall bear witness to His Servant. I command horrors beyond the wildest delusions of my fellow Humans, monstrosities built to strike terror into the hearts of my enemies, but in the light of the Elder I hesitate to awaken them. Perhaps I'll requisition them later on, as a siege breaker, nothing more. Elder Panda deserves not the sight of the carnage these cruel abominations will wreak.
