Zyxe on the topic of what- Mecahnics, Strategy, or both
Overall I think we should focus on the specialist Strategy, but we can totally have a bit about the pure cheese of some of the combo's, like the interaction between pirates and gifts and how to be an asshole with the navigator when it gets targeted by a pirate
In talking about one, we will probably touch up on the other.
Roady- a new voice for the Saboteurs
I'd love to have you. I'm fairly familiar with the sabotuer combos. I'd like to cooperate on a script bit for it. I think we have enough footage between us to see a few uses of this specialist
Math as the Riddler
1- [legnth of video vs complexity of specialist]
as said before I would like to keep the video's down to around 5 minutes. Specialists that require little explaining- The intelligence officer, the infiltrator, the minister of Energy, etc (we may need to role out a way to make them entertaining) may be grouped up into a three specialists per video, with each section check marked on where they begin. Somebody mentioned maybe a single video going well indepth on the use of a combo or playstyle (General combo's, Setting up a good king build, using the Queen hunter, Co-op Combos, countering combo's)
3- [more on how to lead people to these guides]
Generally,(i'm speaking for myself here) if a game pics my interest I generally look up game play. I'm thinking of Posting the video's on YouTube for this purpose (SubterTube, sound like a cool name?)
I suppose its not about force feeding information, but rather making it very very availabe- we can coordinate with Ron and Noel on getting it to the actual front page of the game.
4- [ Making it interesting]
I'm thinking of adding some slapstick into some of the video's.
5- [Footage]
I-Phones come with a built in record button, androids can use the Youtube App. I'm thinking of collecting said footage either via email, drop box, or any multitude of ways.
We have some noob that has 100 something games under his belt- he might be able to hook us up...
I'm thinking of adding directions on how to capture it. Overall we want the showing off of the specialist to be slow so it doens't outpace the dialog- can be sped up or slown down for viewing purposes.
Zyxe on video style
That actially is a very good idea- a almost powerpoint. Screenshots would indeed be way easier to edit- bullet points could easily be added- maybe a motion video at the end?
-here is a video type reference- Etxtracredit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os3lWIuGsXEDue to amount of how much he is talking maybe our video's are going to be a lot shorter? Will probably be just something we'll find out.
