Love predicting behavior and setting traps like that. And playing a smuggler too = nice!

Keeping his queen with the smuggler would have prevented that elimination. Incredible how people camp with their queen thinking it's safe. :)

You're right. I haven't really thought about it, but if your queen is in the sonar of an enemy, it's just as cults vulnerable at a base than it is in transit.

There's also been some times when an enemy has moved his/her queen when it really shouldn't have been
moved (Maybe a panic move or something). Moving your queen can be really tricky sometimes!

Panic moving your queen. Road has some experience with that.... ;)

  • I was in a casual game and this moment terrified me. I had a sub of 110 drillers and a thief and my opponents conspired against me and trapped it with a martyr hunter. I was quite upset for awhile but the answer hit me and now I feel really clever. I just hired a princess and my sentry killed the 1 driller sub. I would have been very upset if I didn't see that.

  • So. In the forum regulars game, its getting near the end. Bangerz sarcastically says we should send drillers at people's mines. What he didn't know is that I don't accept sarcasm. I accept a challenge. So, I sent 3 drillers to all the mines, as many times I could. Challenge Accepted, Achievement Unlocked.

  • One guy in my 4 player game resigned 20 minutes before game start, but his initial push was already set. I sent a sub of 20 drillers to one of these ghost-settled outposts (10 drillers on a generator, with 1 shield by the time I get there), then a few hours later an enemy sub appeared with 39 subs pointed the same way. The way this was set up was I take the port, with 9 survivors, then the enemy comes through and takes the outpost with 29 left over (Again, 1 shield by the time he arrives.) I scheduled another sub of 20, set to arrive just after the enemy takes over, but it would prove not enough; he would survive with 9. I got it into my head to schedule my first sub to turn into a gift 20 minutes before arrival. So the ghost had 30 drillers and 2 shield by the time the enemy arrived, survived with 7, and I cleaned up within the hour, giving me the outpost with 13 survivors.

tl;dr gifted some subs to an outpost settled by a resigned player so the enemy couldn't hold the point.
There is no avoiding war; it can only be postponed to the advantage of others.

Mathwhiz looks like a series of pentagrams in there..... Sure you didn't sent 6,6,6 drills to each mine?
