You're all welcome. Just thought we could try doing something a little different and was surprised to see how many people joined for more than the one match.

To confirm; the current qualifier game is the last qualifier game. However, after the current Elite game finishes there will be one more Elite game that includes the people who qualify in the current qualifier.

I'm wondering how many players will be in the next elite game. This game had 5 people in it and it'd be nice to have 10 players in the next elite game. We should invite stash back. To reach 10 players in the next match maybe keep more players from this elite game or accept more from the qualifiers or maybe invite the top players back from previous tournaments. IMHO, the best challenging games have been 9-10 players and feel the last elite match should have that many players.

The current elite match is looking like its wrapping up in the next day or so.

I was thinking about tournaments like this post launch. Will level 1 players be able to create and play in private, unrated games? That would seem like a requirement to be able to reliably start tournament matches.

I feel that the best way to get more dedicated players into these games was to make the games rated. After changing to rated games I didn't see a single auto-resign which was good for the competition. And with the limit on orders in the time machine I think that the more successful players with have L2 anyway.

Plus, if a tournament helps gets a few more people to pay for the game then thats probably a good thing for the longevity of the game.

Also, keep in mind upon launch all of these current players will keep their rating. So if you make a tournament type game above 1200 or even 1250 that would force a lot of the new players out.

I'll personally have fun playing with the new players and trying to build the community. I make sure to tell them to ask questions if they have them and try to move them in the right direction.

Can always invite people via the forums here as well. The dedicated players will show themselves quickly within a couple weeks.
