I agree. Currently at 6/10 hires. Gonna take a bit....

I think we should have everyone grab the closest outposts (V3XT) and then start the waiting game. I think 20 hires (KorfBaller) is a bit much, but 15 would get interesting. Any other ideas to implement?

  • Based off how stagnant the Cold War is.. We probably shouldn't do this again. When you start with 10 hires, anyone who is teamed up on can turtle away. You need 3v1s or 4v1s to gank anyone.. And that opens you up to attacks or betrayals.

Being that we are on day 17 (10 actual days of active play) and nobody is eliminated.. This is going to set a record for the longest game as is

  • If we do this again, I advise that everyone is allowed to take the closest dormant outposts around them. This way we would all start with more drillers and there could be more initial conflict. Also, maybe only waiting for 5 hires would make things less frustrating slow.

We've had 5 eliminations in that time so your experience isn't so universal.

  • I think that Cold War is one of the funnest games I've been in. I also like that the first game was not entitled to their closest outposts as this is what allowed me to outplay bangerz and steal 6/10 of his specs ;) I think the rules for the first game were optimal

  • What about the rule where your neighbour randomly decides that suicide is a balid offensive strategy?
