10. The Kraken
A dangerous player. Well rounded and strategic, the kraken is your most valuable ally, and most dangerous foe. Generally aware of and constantly planning a 'bigger picture', they are skilled in diplomacy and manipulation, originally making friends with everyone they feel can help them, whether it be as an ally, or a enemy they can ally with and then betray. Krakens tend to claim just enough territory to be respected, but not enough to scare other players into targeting them. They mine as soon as they can, while building their defenses and strategically placing their queen, all while planning crushing attacks two days in advance. They connive other players to fight each other, making others unknowingly do their bidding. Although prone to backstabbing their friends, krakens know better than to alienate everyone. They have a sense of honor, and generally have one or two friends they trust completely from beginning and that can be their downfall.
Favorite Specialist: Security Chief
Mining Tendency: Aggressive, but intelligent. Mines are strategically placed, and drilled when they can be most efficient.
Diplomatic Style: Professional, manipulative and intelligent
Friend: Whoever can be used as a tool
Foe: The weakest link
This is my playing style, and I may have exaggerated a bit about being a deadly enemy because my plans tend to collapse, but if it is executed correctly, it'd be terrifying. I've only ever come across one other kraken though, and he won first.
Words win wars, not weapons.
