[Tactic] [Specialist Combo] Triple Agent

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share a specialist combo I used last game. I haven't seen anything on it so I wanted to share. I'm calling it Triple Agent since the double agent comes back to you :) I also added it to the wiki.

Triple Agent - (Double Agent + Speed (most effective is Admiral)) - This tactic requires a bit of patience and time to set up with the correct timings. The basic idea is this: you use a double agent on your enemy and then some soft of speed unit to re-trip the double agent after he has defected to the enemy thus bringing him back under your control. Usually, you would need some sort of specialist (such as a helmsman or lieutenant) for this thus sacrificing the specialist in order to regain the double agent, however, the admirals speed boost allows you to use one-man subs for the same effect.

Example: In this video, my double agent destroys the enemy forces and I gain control of the infiltrator and helmsman. The double agent now belongs to my enemy traveling back to his base. My helmsman then launches and since it’s faster than the slow double agent, catches up. The (now my enemy’s) double agent triggers and I regain control of the double agent while he gains control of my helmsman. The helmsman is then captured.

This is a good strategy, however, the problem is if the guy has anything worthwhile at the following factory, you'll then have your double agent and helmsman captured. (If you still have the helmsman)

The better strategy I find is to launch the double agent at the last moment, launch an attack from an adjacent outpost on the following outpost that the double agent is heading to so when the double agent is primed to arrive at the enemy outpost, you should by then own the outpost. Then just send back 1 driller to defect the double agent.

The stash has a good point, I pirate would probably work better then a helmsman or other speed booster

Having an admiral has already been thought about its not really worth doing if the double agent still goes to your enemy's base anyway
they could have a hypnotist or you might just never be able to take it back. A diplomat might be helpful but it takes too long for the double agent to travel between 2 outposts for this strategy to work effectively. I have also thought about includin my own saboteur into the mix, but we came to the general consensus that nothing was as effective as your enemy sending a saboteur. (You can destroy everything with just 1 driller if your oppoent sends a saboteur at you)
