Hi--am I correct in understanding that the base shields are totally random between 10 and 20?
If this is the case, I feel like it would be more interesting to have an upgrade feature where you could spend Np or drillers to upgrade the shields rather than it being a completely random thing.
I feel like this would be nice for a few reasons:
1) Removes a random component that can lead to map imbalance
2) Gives a resource dump when close to the cap (drillers) or to reduce aggro (Np)
3) Allows selective reinforcement of strategic locations
4) Gives another 'surprise' method to react to attacks when forecasting combat
