  • The official Subterfuge Twitter account just dropped a bomb:

1st major update to @SubterfugeGame is coming soon (waiting for apple to approve). it will have the following features:
FRIENDS LIST: Mark other players as friends and invite them to your games directly from within Subterfuge.
DOMINATION MODE: No mining! The first player to control a predetermined # of outposts wins. L2 required to create game, but anyone can join.
CUSTOMIZABLE MAP: Create a generator heavy, factory heavy, balanced, or random map. L2 required to create custom map, but anyone can join.
AD SUPPORTED FREE PLAY: L1 players can watch a video ad to unlock unlimited scheduled orders for 2 hours. (Orders will be executed even if they're not scheduled within the 2 hour unlock window.)

Looks like a fantastic release will be here soon. Thanks for paying attention to the community guys, and thanks to /u/Kylebear on the sub(hehe)reddit for bringing it to our attention..

  • I'm excited about the domination mode.

I'm not very good when it comes to mining and knowing best when to start. I'm especially bad at games where mining kicks off in the first 48 hours.

  • I'd argue the opposite. If friend lists are to be made public and be part of the profile, we can guard against multi-game deals easier. Even if it's not, I don't see the problem; if you're making multi-game deals you would have known each other in real life/through other social networks so stopping that type is kind of moot.

  • Even though I'm positive the friends list will be misused, I'm personally stoked for it.

One of the things that I did like about the beta that I feel has been lost post-launch is a small community of players who all vaguely knew each other's play styles. It'll be cool to be able to artificially produce my own small community of "friends".

  • If each players friends list is viewable by EVERYONE on the game I'm okay with it. Still not a great idea. There will be many multi game deals.
