Possible mine exploit?

I was in a game and an interesting thought came across my mind. What if my allies drled my mines? If you gifted them fifty dryers and told them to mine the mine and then let you take it in return fire something else and then since they don't have a mine they only have to spend 50 drillers instead of the 100 or 200 that often stops you from getting more than two. You could use this exploit to get as many mines as you need. Is this possible to pull of? In curious about your thoughts. Yes this is possible but diplomacy would get difficult and no one would just give you thier mines but I just wanted to put this out there as an interesting and slightly amusing thought.

If you drill a mine with 50 drillers, and lose that mine... how much does the next mine cost? 50 or 100? I've never tested it to find out.

The cost depends on how many mines you have drilled, not how many you have....

Even if you lose your first mine, your second will still be 100. So drilling a mine for someone else puts yourself pretty far behind. So anyone who goes out of their way to drill a mine for someone else is pretty suspicious.
Maybe it could be a bargaining chip if you're really hurting and have no chance at outmining anyone else though.

On I was not a were that the driller cost goes up with the amount of mines drilled not mines owned. That sort of makes this post insignificant but I am glad I understand that now.
