Okay, so as I was pondering one day I noticed that the leaderboard is fairly hard to access, it's outside of the app itself and isn't interactive.
So for the first idea, I think the leaderboard should be in-game and provide basic stats on the players on it.
Also, what if we had leagues in subterfuge? So certain ratings got you a higher league? What if higher leagues received graphical bonuses such as different shapes for subs and the like...Just food for thought.
Onto the major idea, Subterfuge Factions!
Basically a Faction would be a group of players and their stats would be combined, adding their medals together to accumulate a Faction score.
There would a separate leaderboard for Factions and, naturally, there would be an in-game chat feature within your Faction.
Seeming as you can't talk to people without being in a game with them, but you also can't have multi-game agreements, there is no real way of maintaining constant communication with a friend.
Just a few Faction features:
Group chat with your Faction
Ability to share screenshots of situations with your Faction so they can give advice
Maybe a feature to make tactical puzzles with your Faction
Faction games within the Faction
With regards to in Faction game, there are a few balancing issues:
Factions could match-make and stack medals.
They could help each other in games.
They could give screenshots of the other side of the map.
To counter these problems, there would be a few rules with Factions:
You cannot join a game that contains another Faction member.
Faction games cannot contain any outsiders.
Faction games do not earn any medals.
Seeming as you earn no medals, Faction games don't count as games so even L1 players can play other games while in a Faction game.
I'm open to suggestions and criticism and I think this could be a great addition.
Could add a new dimension to the game, getting placed in a game with a rival Faction and such.
Please comment suggestions and thanks for reading!
EDIT: Changed the name to Factions, although the name isn’t too important.
