Holiday tournament game C: live highlights

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • Hello community

As you probably know there have been a bunch of tournaments popping up on the forums. I managed to get into the holiday tournament and I am going to start a thread to record my game as it happens. Please if you are in this game do not read this thread in the spirit of subterfuge. Anyway in the game itself each player is starting with 3 reactors and 2 factories. I have laid out my starting land grab but I will not post that until the game has started. Here are the players currently in the game and thier colors.

    Chariot Rider - pink
    R10t - blue
    Cromwell - orange
    Roadkiehl - green
    Alexcata - cyan

    Good luck!

  • Oh man, live highlights. This thread is just gonna sit there, tempting me to click on it the whole game. It's gonna be tough, but I won't read it once the game starts.

I would suggest delaying a day before posting a recap. That way any info people get would be dated and maybe less useful. I have to say, if other players do the dishonorable thing and look, it would be very much in the spirit of subterfuge, I'm afraid.

When I was playing in the broadcast game, there was this little button on the forums that said, "Live Broadcast Game [SPOILERS]", and I wanted to click it so badly. I could avoid the devlog easily enough, but that button was always there when I checked the forums :P
That being said, I don't think any of the players in that game actually did cheat. But there was a more casual atmosphere there, with no stakes but our reputations.

Anyways, I won't be checking this thread again until the game ends, and I'd suggest you take Bigred's advice and post a day or two late.

So Bigredsk10 is also Cromwell ? Both are on the leaderboards, looks like you possibly just admitted to multi-boxing.

    Not in the least.

I was in the beta as bigred. When the game launched I switched to Cromwell. I haven't played a game as the bigred account since the beta.

  • I switched because people kept asking if I was a Stanford University fan, when really it was just a dumb username that I hadn't put any thought into at all.

  • I agree that checking the thread for intel would be very much in the spirit of subterfuge. The temptation is too great. Personally if I were in your game I'd be pissed. I would recommend posting things late, if at all.

You do inspire me though to maybe keep a log of my game (in game D) and then post it later once the game is over.

  • Yah I usualy post the events late anyway so usualy it doesn't have a huge effect on the game. If you are in the game I will be posting things late just in case.
