Hey guys.
I don't have L2, but I have been wanting to play the new domination mode that just came out. The update on the appstore claimed that only L2 players can make domination mode games, but ANYONE can join.

However, when I look through the "open games" section, all of the domination games are rated only, meaning I can't join any of them.

Am I the only one with this problem? Does anybody know how somebody without the $10 upgrade, such as myself, can participate in a domination game? Have any of you who haven't bought the upgrade been able to join a domination game?

Answers would be much appreciated... Thanks in advance

I think it's just coincidence that all the domination games are rated. Most people who pay for L2 will make rated games to avoid noobs.

That's kind of what I figured. So does this basically mean that it is impossible to play a domination game without L2? If somebody has played or is in a domination game without L2, please let me know.

I'm in an unrated domination game, I think it's just timing.

just play at tournament. there is domination tournament in forum need a player right now.

yeah I'm playing in one right now as well but it was the only one I saw that wasn't rated lol

I made a domination game casual and got some L1's. Two auto resigned and the third freaked out and gifted everything and quit at the first sign of trouble. Yay fun game

I see. Maybe I've just been super unlucky...? I'll keep looking in the open games section and hope I find one. But here's the problem: the same exact lobbies that aren't filling up keep showing up on the list. Does any body know if there is a way to refresh the list of games to join? Maybe deleting the app and reinstalling? Hopefully that will help me find one faster.

As for the tounaments and stuff, thats the reason I made this post. I wanted to practice domination mode in preperation for that one tournament TW is making. It starts in January-ish.

I think the lobby stays refreshed, that's just all the open games there are. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the games that fill up quickly versus the ones that sit there empty.

Can you afford to purchase level two? I think the pain point you're experiencing is intentional. Level two lets you play the game with the options you want, with people less likely to drop out. It seems like a fair trade off to me.

There is a solution for L2 players. If a lvl2 player could create a domination game, unrated, and call it something along the lines of 'Proficient Players Only (>X games)' where X is some number of games (maybe 1, 2, or 3), I find that I get a much higher quality of games. And I am only lvl1 so its basically like playing a rated game...almost. If they could send the game link to nighthawk08 and then make it public (idk if that is possible, if not just create a domination when nighthawk is active on these forums and tell him to join quickly while you kick some players who aren't proficient), that would be great
