[Feature Request] More Accurate 'Online' Indicator

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • I think it would be helpful if the online indicator was slightly more advanced.

-So the same dot for 'online' status.

-A black dot in the center of the colored dot to indicate 'online in this game'.

The reason for this is that quiet = suspicious. If you see someone has been online and they didnt respond to an important message you sent, it can create distrust. Sometimes its for good reason because they are being shady and not sure how to lie yet, and sometimes its just because they are checking a different game. If this feature were implemented, I'd like to see the 'online in this game' in the place of where the 'last online' information is in the stats window.

I think there should be a yellow dot for online and green for online in this game...just saying

  • But the dot is already the color matching the player (I'm talking about the one at the bottom right, not the one you see next to the players name when you zoom all the way out).

Where would this dot be? on top of the player's color? I feel like that would be more intrusive than just a black dot in the middle, although when are new players going to be told about this? That black dot = in this game?
I think that the color should only be there when in that specific game. This way there is no confusion.

i support this feature to be first priority to future update for an L2 player.maybe this feature can be asked at dev. i think there is ask dev in 13 dec. so when i play with an L2 i no need to chat them immeditely after them online. and add susgestion there is blue dot if you just open the main menu and tutorial or finding open lobby at pub.

That's a possible solution too. But I dunno, I don't think every aspect of the UI needs to be totally explained. Players can pick it up through intuition, context, word of mouth, Google search, etc.

Oh the green dot would replace the yellow dot if the player becomes active in that game. The logic is there too. Green is usually more 'yes' than yellow, so that would be a suitable difference between 'online' and 'online in this game'

  • I like the idea of yellow and green. This could be implemented just in the intelligence report. Now: black is for offline, green online. It could be: black offline, orange or yellow: online in another game, green: online in that specific game. It sounds simple and intuitive.

  • But I'd rather the "online but not this game" not be yellow, but rather Orange or blue, mainly because I'm colorblind and it's hard for me to tell the difference between yellow and green

  • I like just the "Online". You don't know what they are doing. Maybe they are planning an assault on you. Maybe they forgot to put their phone to sleep before watching Netflix.
