Tag-teaming as one player

Hi there, I just played a game with some friends, and after finding out it's too demanding for a regular week's schedule, they're tossing around the idea of controlling one player with three people, so they can take shifts.

I like the idea very much, it lets us team up with friends in different timezones. This would level the playing field between them and people like me who wake up every few hours at night to check for incoming attacks.

What do you guys think?

Like Starcraft II's Archon mode?

While I think it would be cool, I also think it would take too much time and work to develop, and also not be used by enough players to be worth that time/effort.

Thus us technically the best way of achieving this.
No need for implementing it into the game as you can manually achieve it

Hahah no, I wasn't proposing a new feature (like you said, it's ridiculously easy to do this already), I was asking more if there were any objections to people doing it this way.

It's like... anti-multiboxing... I don't think I'd care too much, honestly. But diplomacy would be tricky.
