Experimental Series - 002

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related
Sun Dec 13, 2015 8:51 pm

  • This experiment's description is - Subs are only allowed to be launched between the bearings of X degrees and Y degrees
For this experiment, we will probably use 0 degrees - 180 degrees? Or something else if you want to suggest something. So, you can only launch subs in a left direction between north and south. Navigators can't change course to try and break this rule.
If you are interested please post in the comments below! I hope to start ASAP (hopefully on the 16th at the latest) and there will probably be at least 8 players...

Also, could someone else host since I am not lvl 2?

I believe this game will be very interesting :)

  • My intention for the Experimental Series was for me to host all, but I suppose that as long as the host is trusted, they could host one as well.
However, if too many people start hosting their own experimental series game, there will be mix ups between game numbers, etc.
Best is for anyone interested to be a host PM me so I can give them a proper identification game ID (ie perhaps two people want to do a game, so one will be 02A and the other 02B).
Otherwise, anyone is of course free to run their own experimental games, but for sake of keeping track, I would appreciate it if you could use a different title :)
For this thread, people could debate what degrees they want (upwards only, leftward, rightward, or downward).

  • I kinda want to wait until the first experimental game is done to join another and thus I won't join right now but once the public chat only game is over I will definitely join a second experimental game.

I'd like to hold a vote first, as there are many ideas for experiments, but everyone wants to try something different.

  • We should probably have multiple hosts for the next game. The hosts would agree on the next games theme beforehand and everyone interested would sign up and depending on how many people are interested you would only need so many hosts.

  • Kind of a lame thing to do, steal someone else's idea and move forward with it as your own, no?

Wait are you talking to me? I didn't mean to make it sound like I was doing that, but 1. These ideas don't really 'belong' to anyone, and I was the person who came up with the bearing idea in the first place, and 2. We are only helping the Devs here by doing this type of stuff. But anyway who are you saying I should credit?

  • To be fair to topkilla I thought the same thing. Panda had also stated that he doesn't want games to be named "Experiment Game XX:" etc. because he is the one who has been running everything. So it does seem a little sketch
