Do martyrs interact with gifted subs?

Title says it all. If, say, I intercept a gift with a pirate and martyr, what would happen? Would they just capture the gift or would the martyr trigger?

I believe martyr does not trigger. Like most gifted subs, if Player A sends it and Player B hits it with any other sub, it turns into Player B's sub and is sent to their nearest outpost. Since there is no battle (just a quick change of ownership) your martyr won't blow up. You could also check by sending at it then scrolling into the future to see what happens to it.

Also, just a heads up, there is a section for questions.

A Martyr will only explode when in Combat, and Gifts do not initiate combat- Merely say hello as they pass by and get on with their day.

Gifted martyrs switch sides, and can even be used as a weapon.

The attached photos was from an early game of mine where I decided if I couldn't hold the mine nobody would. ;)
I (green) made a huge blunder sending the helmsman/martyr/9-drills together after altering a schedule, and my enemy (blue) sent a one drill sub to counter. We both probably thought that was the end of the martyr.

Turns out his sleeping pattern coincided so I scheduled the martyr into a gift. It returned to his mine...

CONTINUED....

There was about an 80 minute gap after it landed where he could have sent my martyr back at me, but fortunately I had a little luck on my side... he stayed asleep. My 6 drill hit the mine and triggered the martyr. He logged in about 20mins after it went big bada boom. :)

I show this because it's a good (if HIGHLY RISKY) way to slip a martyr past enemy lines. So even if you think you've countered a martyr, you haven't until it detonates.

Is confusing? You say you is blue but is green attacking. Blue is get martyr then exploding.

If you meaning you is green, this danger strategy. But it worked. You having balls to do!

I remember in one of the first games I played: I forgot to cancel an experimental martyr-sub at my enemy's mine. My enemy sent one driller from his mine and we both thought that was the end of the martyr. However, while I was staring at the screen, I thought up 5 ways to counter this:
1. Promote a navigator into an admiral and send a counter-counter sub.
2. Gift the martyr
3. Send a driller so that it catches up to the gifted martyr before it reaches the mine so that it detonates if my enemy accepts the gift.
4. Send a driller so that it arrives at the outpost just after the gifted martyr so that the martyr doesn't have enough time to leave, making it detonate in the process.
5. Send more drillers than he could counter from another outpost so that it arrived with 4.
All of these could have been countered by him somehow, but he missed the counter for 5. (which was to use a pirate from another outpost that he had), so my martyr ended up blowing up his mine! (and I ended up winning :) !)
