Just finished my first anonymous game....

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • There was no reveal of identities at the end.
There was no way to award medals.
I thought it was odd. I had intended to try to give out a medal or two for each game I play as a way to support the developers but... You can't in anonymous mode.

  • I agree.
I just finished my first anonymous game tonight. I wonder if we were in the same match?
I do think that it is useful to be anonymous before, and during the game - as it reduces the possibility of the main issue in this game, which is pre-formed teams.
A completely random matchmaker would be the best solution, but anonymous is a step towards this at least.

However, at the end of an anonymous game, I don't see why names shouldn't be revealed.

If people want to play anonymously, they can just start a new anonymous game, and their new opponents won't know their match history.

At least; not until the end.

We should be able to award points for good or bad behaviour, in the same way as standard mode.

  • You could reveal who you are in the public chat afterwards if you so wished. It doesn't allow you to give people medals, but you'd at least have a name.

  • I was in the game where pink was friends with everyone and mined his way to victory without obvious conflict, olive second place, beige snuck into 3rd place after taking teal mine at the last possible moment, navy 4th, teal dropped to 5th right at the end, then red, then sky who had been eliminated by beige and had made a huge rant in public chat about it, then brown who had autoresigned. Was that the game you were in?

  • 6payh, wouldn't it have been easier to just say the name of the game?

  • I know who you were, as you asked a similar question to this one during the match, in retrospect. We were allied for much of the game. Well played

    Hey!
I actually posted a video recap of the game, it has fallen to the 2nd page of the forum by now.
