L2 - Too Expensive

I'm sorry to complain about the game, because it is awesome, but I would like to display my opinion that L2 is much too expensive for the app store. I understand that the game probably took a lot of time and money to create, but $10? With that money, I could purchase Call of Duty: Strike Team, any Modern Combat game, or something else that is an amazing game with awesome graphics, a great story, and epic gameplay for only $7. I was really hoping for a holiday sale this Christmas, because I love the game and would like to try the L2, but did not want to spend $10 for something like that. I got an iTunes gift card and was excited to check for a half price or reduced price L2, but sadly, nothing changed.
I'll still play your game because it is amazing, but I am sure that lowering the cost of L2 would be a good idea for both the gamers and the developers. Think about it - You lower the cost for the L2 to maybe half, and you make double the sales that you did when you had it at a higher cost, and you are still making the same amount. I'm sure that you would reach double sales or maybe even exceed. I know I would happily purchase if it was half price. I'm just not sure that it is worth $10.
Not trying to cause any arguments or fights. I love this game, and the developers seem amazing. Great job guys, but I'd really like you to consider. Thanks!

Maybe some kind of trial would be a good idea too. If you keep the price the same, give people who are considering the purchase an option to test out the new features before buying so that they know what they are spending $10 on.

Why are you so sure that they would double their sales by halving their price? As far as I can tell, the problem is exposure and not pricing.
I honestly think that $10 is more than fair. I'd have paid way more than that, to be honest. And the "trial" that you're suggesting is called "L1 Clearance"

While I am an l1 and would love to pay cheaply for l2. The devs have lost over $20,000 last time I checked, and they need to start making money on this game. Which is why they added things like l2 clearance and medals. I personally enjoy supporting them by watching ads which help both me and the devs. Also if they halved their price and doubled the amount of l2 clearances purchased they'd make the same amount of money but with less potential for more, because double the players would already have got l2.

Why do think 10$ is expensive?
I drop 10$ on crap all the time without thinking about it and this game was givin me wayyy more than 10$ in entertainment.
The game is free to play, 10$ to support game development

You say you can buy COD or any other modern combat game for $7-$10..... Do you play cod? COD is $60 for each of their newer games and I bet you've paid $60 for one of the newly released games
*Cough cough*
Fallout 4
Black ops 3
Splatoon
Etc. etc.
*cough cough*
Why is it that people can spend $200 on a console (XBOX/PS) and pay $60 for 10 games to play over the lifetime (maybe more). Net spending: $800. But why they can't pay $10 for a mobile game that is clearly just as well developed as a COD game? No clue. $10 isn't much... For an app, yes it is a bit higher than normal but if you can even compare this game to COD then it must be worth at least $60.

L2 grants you: Unlimited orders, unlimited games, private games, and ranking
I've seen this in the past, look at the game as a board game:
If you have L2, you can make a game and have all your friends play it while they don't pay a penny.
A typical board game costs around $25, and can be replayed as much as Subterfuge can be - all you need is one owner for infinite games, and almost everyone has a smartphone nowadays. The only thing you're missing here is the tactical feedback and talking.
And I would definitely say Subterfuge is better than Monopoly, which costs just about the same. Besides you're really helping out the devs as other players have mentioned

Panda, you used my argument before I had the chance to type it.

I think I paid $30 for Risk, and I know for a fact that I've put in more time in and gotten more enjoyment from the $10 I spent on Subterfuge. I'm not sure I have my numbers correct, but I believe the App Store takes 40% of the payment. Meaning they only get $6 per purchase. If you head over to the devoid, you can see how much money went into the game. I believe it was something like $70 000. To break even, assuming they make $6 a sale, they'd have to sell 12000 L2's. And that doesn't account for taxes or the 3 years of time they spent working on the game. At half price, they'd have to sell double that.

The game is easily worth $10. Many many apps charge more and arnt nearly as good.
That said, Steam is the massive monopoly that it is because of sales. Having a weekend sale at some makes a lot of sense to me.
