Taking a break

As it is with eating chocolate, eat too much and you can't have some for a while.
I had tons of fun playing Subterfuge when I first got the game, and spent a considerable part of my free time creating alliances and scheduling orders.
Since then 3 months have passed, I have learned more about strategy, diplomacy, and of course a lot of friendly people like you guys!
However, lately I've been feeling less and less enthusiastic about the game, probably due to how much I've been playing.
Don't worry, I'm not leaving - I'm just gonna take a break (I mentioned this in one of my games) for a while until it feels 100% fun again.
This said, I will keep on doing ESGs since you guys like them so much, and will probably be the only games I'll play for now.
Thanks for the fun and keep the community friendly for any newcomers!

Sad to see you go. We're losing too much of the community. A couple times in the past month, I considered taking a break. But, of course, I didn't and I'm still playing. Just a lot less, like you are. Hope to see you again sometime soon

I think playing as an l1 is often an advantage. It keeps you from getting wrapped up in too many games and feeling overwhelmed. It also makes each game more special; I have played 12 games and could probably tell you an cool play or interesting interaction in each one along with what position I finished in. It's good to see you're not leaving permanently, I'm glad you can settle down and take it one game at a time.

The Game is now totally integrated to my life - can't even think of taking a break (more than 3 games at a time is pretty much exhausting though).
Hope to have you back in those waters soon buddy!

Agreed. I'm finding that I hardly ever use my second account these days...

Hi there,
I usually only have 1 game and maximum of 2 games in parallel and this is something I can handle fine during day time. The problem is sometimes during the night when the game gets faster and people have admirals sometimes it makes a big difference if you are there at the right point in time. It is not that I am setting an alarm in the night, but I am mostly waking up at least once per night due to my kids. Then you look into the game and cannot sleep anymore ...
I was thinking maybe the game can be enhanced in this sense. I mean I really love this game, but the pace in the beginning makes a quite different game than if you have lots of specialists later on and even can change things in the middle.
One idea to improve this is maybe optionally locking down games during night, if everyone plays in the same zone. Maybe you can just specify that as the game creator. I am just in a game with only german players.
