That may well be true, but it sounds to me like this happened to you or you did it to someone else.
But even if I am wrong, can we make an effort to keep the forums generally positive? I just get the feeling that the forums as a whole are plenty critical without threads like this.

I'd have to side with Road in keeping the forums positive. if you were three-wayed, it sucks, learn what you can from it and move on to the next game. But 3v1 is nothing. Wait till its 5v1.

Third day? Wait till you join a game where 3 players have decided to gank you
before you even joined the game simply because of your position on the map.
Now that's fun.

Haha, I know that feel. This isn't exactly the "fairest" game.

Things that may be nice. May be mentioned before:
Auto match making where everyone joins a queue. The game then randomly puts players of equal rank together where multiple identical games start at the same time with the same layout. First 2 days in non anonymous games peoples names are anonymous. It is still possible to figure out who's who but takes a little more work.
It may also be nice if people weren't placed at a location until all players have joined. That way everyone has the same time to form alliance and decide driller movement and also so people can't just quit if they don't like who they are next to or what base they were dealt.

Yeah, I've advocated for both those ideas. Matchmaking would be the best, but also the most work to implement.
There's also some simpler solutions, like prohibiting non-public chat until all player have joined. Or, automatically randomizing the board once everyone joins, like how when the "start now" button is used by the host to start the game before the room is full.
--If you see my "If a final update could have 3 last things" thread, you'll see one of my votes to to make the joining process fair, aka, doing one of these things we're talking about.
