  • What if there were in game event to spice up matches. Like an underwater volcano eruption , making a certain way impassable. Put your event ideas below

  • Conservative viewpoint would be that events would mess with the 100% "determinable" style of Subterfuge, meaning any game can be simply recreated by the same seed.
However, I think it would be cool to allow for Casual games to have a host option to enable events like volcanoes or earthquakes to spice it up a bit.

That would be AWESOME but with my luck I would be the only one to get hit

And that's the reason I don't think it should work. Subterfuge is more skill based (in a way) so putting that kind of thing that was complete luck would ruin the game. If everyone got hit in the exact same way, I think that would work

  • What would be some events we could artificially selected at random by the forums rats?
Mass EMP Drop all shields for 36 hours.

    Any other ideas?

  • Maybe every so often the map shifts? Like all the outposts move slightly, not enough to rearrange geneeal territories, but enough to be significant in some way?

  • Supply drops,if you hold a certain outpost for long enough, you get an extra hire and/or extra drillers

Or a tribe of hostipe ai the rise from the depths and you need to beat them to gain their territory

  • Drillers - All your drillers are suddenly dispersed more evenly throughout your territory. I still have't figured out how this would work, but I know it somehow can
Specialist - The first specialist you ever got gets demoted/dispersal.
Drillers - Every outpost loses 15 drillers
Drillers - Every sub loses 10 drillers
Drillers - Every outpost loses 10% of drillers, rounded up
Subs - All subs are redirected to the nearest outpost (even if its an enemy outpost)
Sonar - No sonar range for 6 hours
Outposts - Outposts clump together more based on who owns them.
