Best subterfuge moments (mind games)

Anyone have any good mind games story. Weirdest game I played was with Dannyb and Bangerz and some others. The stuff they were telling me had me so confused. Tommyboy confused me by calling his allies names. Dannyb created a group chat and pretend he was arguing with Tommy and Cossacks when they were maybe allies. Bangerz told me he wanted to be ally if I remember correctly but send just enough drillers like they were gifts then later on say he can't gift them because he was too scared of a player who had less drillers than him. His gift also made no sense. I didn't need it and it was just enough to prevent me from holding a base I had captured should both my enemy and I send reinforcements. Meanwhile Dannyb and Bangerz had a fake war where Dannyb send tiny drillers at him which made no sense and Bangerz turned off his shield at his mine which made no sense either. If there was a medal for being the most mentally confused game I would of considered purchasing it for Dannyb. I still don't know who was allied, if they just happened to ally together later or if they just had a 4 man alliance at the start in a 8 player game with some people they played with before.

First time encountering that amount of deception or noticing it. A bit curious about what people have pulled off or had pulled off on them mentally. Usually its someone betrayed someone or someone lied about a gift.

Does setting a trap count as a mind game? In a game I am currently in, I sent a specialist between two my outposts, knowing an opponent would try to catch it with a pirate. As soon as I saw them launch to intercept it, I initiated stage two of my plan. Using a pirate of my own and an elder, I will capture their pirate and assassin. The captive specialists will head to my outpost which has a hypnotist en route. Sorry Korf. ;)

In my own game against korf, I was about to send a 1 driller sub to accept a gift which was coming to me, but as soon as I realised korf was targeting the gift as well, albeit outside his sonar range, I gifted my 1 driller sub, and launched another 1 driller sub so that I accepted the gift 1 tick before his pirate intercepted it, I ended up capturing the pirate because the gift just happened to have 2 drillers on it and I was hoping he didn't have enough time to realise and promote to a general or something to save his pirate. Again, Sorry Korf. ;)
