Multiboxing, what to do about it? happening to me right now

Hey guys. Im in my first game of Subterfuge and i really love this game. Im doing really good and had an alliance with a guy and another player seemed pretty confident but was in a bad position. Another player NEVER responded to me and he never talked to the guy i was allying with either. I already had a bad feeling because my enemy told me that i will regret my actions and he always asked me to team up agains my ally but never to attack the non responsive guy. As i said i already got a bad feeling about this and out of nowhere the non talker attacks me right after my enemy told me i should resign. So i called him out on "nice two accounts you have" and he actually responded with "what do you mean two accounts?" FROM THE OTHER PLAYER. So i dont know if he did this on purpose or accident but nonetheless he just confirmed that he is playing with two accounts = cheating. I can of course provide screenshots if you guys dont believe me but i will not do it in my first post because i dont know if its against the rules. Im just really pissed right now because i really like this game and actually did good in my first game and now my enemy has another account in this game. Do you guys have encountered similiar problems? Im lost right now. Edit: And now he ist talking to me that i shall resign from both accounts.. Edit 2: and he has 20 games on his "main" account (the one hes always online with) and 18 with the other so im pretty sure hes doing it all the time... I just dont get why people are doing this.. its only a 4 player game im in and he has 2 players. How is it fun.. i was concerned about people doing this before i even started and now its happening in my very. first. game.

That sucks. It really does. But unfortunately, there isn't much you can do. You could email the devs and tell them, but the seem to have gone AWOL. All you can really do is keep playing, and hope this doesn't ruin subterfuge for you.

Also, you could ally with the guy who isn't multiboxing and have a 2v2 fight for the win. Good luck!

Last I've heard, the devs still handle this without problem. (hopefully still the case)

Use the email provided with the "report abuse" button at the top of every chat window.

Thanks for the reply i emailed the mods.

No i will keep playing i totally love this game. And its not the end of the world if that happens im trying to convince friends to install it so we can play private games.
I hope the game will somehow get more attention and will make some money so maybe the devs will pick it up again.

Yeah, same. This is a gem, one of those rare games that are never overdone or cash grab and sacrifice quality. Could you let me know what the devs say? Always wondered what happens in these situations.

The devs did nothing about it (they didnt respond either)
I somehow managed to qin the game anyways..
But guess what hes alreasy hosting a new game with the same name and as soon as some else entered he joined with his alt account to dont make it look like hes the same.. im thinking of taking the last free spot again and try to beat him again.
To the player: Bill1234 be careful two of your in game players are the same person ( or at least live together) ;)

You. I remember you. You made a million threads all about the same event in the same game.

Although I've never confirmed someone I've been playing against is multi-boxing, I've had a few occasions where I've played against an alliance that was pre-formed before the game began.

I've emailed the devs about the occurences I know about, and again when I saw the same 2 players join into another game that was about to start, but I've received no reply from them.
When I saw the open game with the pre-made alliance in it, I was tempted to join the game and let all the other players know, but there was only 1 slot left in the game and so if I joined it would have started and I didn't want another game on the go.

I know that it was against the rules, but when I went looking for it, I found that it, and the rule regarding multi-boxing, are commented out in the rulebook now:
Code: Select all
<br><h1>CODE OF CONDUCT</h1>
<ul>
    <li><b>NO JERKS:</b> Harassment, hate speech, abusive language, and any other unsporting behavior is not allowed.</li>
    <!-- li><b>NO MULTI-BOXING:</b> Players are allowed to have multiple accounts, but may not play in the same game with more than one of them.</li>
    <li><b>NO PRE-FORMED ALLIANCES:</b> Players may not come into a game with the intent of playing together as a team.</li -->
</ul>

So I don't know now; have they just thrown up their hands and said it's OK?
You could say it's unsporting behaviour, but I don't think the devs care anymore. I'm only joining team games from now on, because none of my friends play Subterfuge, and otherwise I'll always be entering a game, talking to other players, but I can't know I won't be betrayed, but for all I know every other player in the game knows exactly who can't betray them.

Fuuny, it seems like every topic nowadays leads to this topic.
So in regards to the whole "The devs dont care anymore" thing:
The developers have abandoned Subterfuge and moved on to another unknown project. For the simple reason that subterfuge just isnt profitable.
