ESG 06 idea listing

With the end of ESG05, kindly hosted by mathwhiz9 during my absence, we are now collecting ideas for ESG06!
If you like to see a past choice again, just post it, but refer to OP. Support other game types by quoting their names to vote for them. Top 6 ideas will be put to voting in a few days.
For newer people, idea format should be:

Name
one or two sentence quick description
Explanation in detail with one or two scenarios or examples

Captain versus captain. Two captains are selected. Everyone enters. The captains then take turn choosing team mates by skill or proximity or favoritism or ... Not sure whether trading specialist should be allowed or not. I would guess whatever the captain or players chooses. Once all the players are chosen everyone is locked into their team. End happens when 1 captain is eliminated.

Risk like missions. Everyone is assigned a secret mission. A mod knows the mission. The first person to complete their mission says bingo and a mod reviews and declare them the winner or a liar.

Random specialist. A list or rolls are compounded for each player or every player can share the same list. Based on the roll each hire they have to hire 1(offense) 2(defense) 3(other) 4(promote offense if not able to hire offense) 5(promote defense if not hire defense) 6 (promote other if not hire other).

As a side note in one of the previous custom games people got tired after 2 weeks in where the number of specialist starts makings things a bit more difficult. I think the games should have a cut off timer. Either that or the games need to make people be more aware that the game will take 3 months to finish :). At the end of the cut off timer everyone help the leader win as fast as possible while maintaining whatever specialist report order players are in.

I love this idea. It needs to be played, like now.
If this does not get picked for ESG6, maybe we can just play a round of it.

I love this idea. It needs to be played, like now.

Great ideas rlin!

I will revolunteer my idea of if you hire a promotable specialist you MUST promote with the next hire.

Underused but not underloved.

You have to hire and promote from a list of the 10 most underused specs. If none of these appear you can hire normally. (List can be changed)

Saboteur
Infiltrator
Intel Officer
Diplomat
Revered Elder
Martyr
Double Agent
War Hero (Must be promoted from a sentry in two hire. 36 Hours)
Princess
Minister of Energy (Must be promoted from a tinkerer in two hire. 36 Hours)

EDIT: Right after i posted this i remembered the MoE was a thing. Has been swapped with the LT

Invisible Shield(by blanc, a long time ago)
Must drop all shields immediately at the start, and all shields must drop as soon as you take the outpost.
*rule additive* - outpost where the Queen is can have a shield as normal

For me, she's near the top. Not everyone else though. I was more making fun of your spelling :lol:
