Some Things I've Learned Since Becoming a Mod

Hey all,
So for those of you who don't know, recently JD, Nojo, and I were made moderators of these here forums. What that means is we now have access to moderator tools, which include complaints and reports from the past. Since most of the complaints were along the same lines, and they're issues that I have seen myself, I want to address these minor issues here:
1.) Try to avoid discussing in-game conversations as long as the game in question is still going on. This is often viewed as an unfair disclosure of private information. If you do want to post this information, make sure you at least get the permission of everyone involved.
2.) Try to avoid slander. If there's an issue with another player, that's a matter between you and the other player. If it's an issue that you feel needs to be addressed in the forums, try to avoid names and specifics (I.e. Instead of saying, "RoadKiehl is such a jerk for hiring 4 kings," something like, "Hiring too many kings makes the game unfun.")
3.) Try to avoid rehashing topics that have already been discussed at length. This isn't a big problem, since most users know not to do this, but it does happen on occasion. If a thread is made by someone who hasn't seen the previous discussion, it helps if you politely post a link to the other thread.
These aren't huge problems, just things to be aware of. In general, these forums have a great atmosphere with easygoing people.
Thanks!

I agree with all of these. From what I can tell there has been only 1 report on the forums so far. I won't go into the details, but the post being reported violated Roady's first and second rules. These forums have been a great place so far. Almost nothing needs to change around here.

Good reminder road.

I'm just go to add on a little bit.
I think it's fine to post conversations that do not disclose anything tactical if the game is still going one.
If the game is over, it should be fine to post conversations of any kind
If the game is still being played, don't post tactical conversations

I'm really tempted to call that number. Somebody do it for me and report back.

When Ron and Noel promoted us, they pretty much just said "Hey, we are moving on to other projects, We consider you as grown ups so there are no 'rules' you new mods have to know about, just make good decisions"

I decided to look up what exactly I can do know. Here's a link to what is mods can do:
