I think to make this game more interesting we need more puzzles to solve from game developers or maybe some created and submitted by players, daily or weekly puzzles

Hey, oddy grey. I love your new ideas, all of them. Although it is fun to speculate what COULD be added to subterfuge, nothing will be. The developers have moved onto new projects and will sadly not be creating more content. The Subterfuge servers will be online as long as people still play it. If you want to play in a game with altered rules join the next ESG (Experimental Series Games). You could also host a game with a rule set you make yourself!

Godspeed in your travels.

Though Nojo is right about the developers, I'm getting a little depressed with all the doom and gloom about our Dev's moving on- really stifles the imagination this forum page had. I think you have a good idea here, as many of the subterfuge players are problem solvers. We could have puzzles in the general sense like what you are talking about- riddles, equations and code(we got some smart folks around us), but maybe also a "Create a Specialist" to achieve this result type of contest every once in a while (I really miss Chariot's and Panda's old Specialist Posts)

I would suggest we do it weekly. Managing a post daily can get to be a bit of burnout in my opinion- and gives some time to allow discussion and problem solving.

I'd be happy to Hype this thing up and Sticky it if people like this idea.

Anything to make the pizzles more user friendly. It might even draw some more people in, and make the noobs a lot less noobish in their first game

Here is a puzzle. The objective is to survive to fight another day. Background. So you made a plan to bait an enemy to attack you which was successful only to forget your plan and wake up too late from playing too much heroes of the storm late into the night. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to find a way to survive to fight another day. This message will not self destruct unless an admin deletes it. What would you do?

If you have a pirate, keep a few drillers at the same base. The reason is because you can gift those drillers creating your own escape route when you need it. Kind of OP escape mechanism but it exist. The Martyr can be sent anywhere, maybe toward Raven, maybe toward Nautilus or maybe toward Cousteau. The reason not to send it toward Beige is that he can just send 1 driller to blow it up. Send the hypno at Bahat and gift it. Upon the gift creation pirate the gifted sub with the Queen and the Pirate. Make sure the pirate intercepts the gift after you lose Deongh. It will then move at 4x to Nautilus which is too fast for Haik or Bahat to take it at 1x. Beige in response may try to detonate the escaping martyr hoping to blow it up. Converting the martyr to a gift will create a floating bomb heading at 1x to Bahat but at the same time his helmsman will be heading toward one of your bases which hopefully can be captured. If he doesn't try to blow it up then you get your Martyr back. The engineer can be rerouted to come back and retake Deongh. If the engineers were closer then one might be able to retake Deongh just before the pirate intercepts the gift returning to teh original base. An alternative if the positioning were a little different it may be possible to blow up the base, retake the baes, then have the pirate intercept the gift returning all to the same base.

I'd send the martyr to Haik right away, redirect that double engineer sub back to Dejongh. If I were allied with sky, he could send one driller as a gift from Saltmine to Bass for a queen+pirate to chase. Assuming beige was offline at the time and didn't plan for something like this, that Helmsman would be hypno'd, and you now have a nav pirate helmsman with many drillers. Go get 'em.
