I have played a lot of subterfuge. Everyone knows that. Or, at least, every forum regular knows that. Also, most people know my gameplay. From my viewpoint, I think I play a very cutthroat and untrustworthy game. Some people have seen that, although some would disagree with me there. It doesn't really matter though. Recently, I was talking to Juanma about the list of forum regulars. We got a pretty extensive list of all the regulars. After looking at that list, I noticed something. I had played with all of them. Except one. And for good reason. But first, let me go back to my controversial game with Bangerz and Carter J Burke. After I was eliminated (and a good play from Bangerz) I had some good conversation with Carter. Seems like I only ever talk to Carter after I'm eliminated from the game... Anyway. He told me that on occasion, he would make a new account, play it for a game or two, then delete it. And that got me thinking. Everyone already knows who I am. But maybe... They don't? So, I set up the biggest fabrication I've ever done. It was not in a subterfuge game, it was in fact right here on the forums. And it included everyone here. I set up another account, but told nobody about it. Only one person found out, after a bit of a slip up on my part. But, time for the reveal. The Prestige, if you may.

I am Crover.

Yep. MathWhiz9 and Crover are both controlled by the same person. I did this as a bit of a social test, to see if I could efficiently trick you guys. And it worked. My favourite part of this came from Nojo in the Captain vs Captain game. During the captain voting/team building stage, Nojo said (this is a paraphrased version of his comment) "Crover shouldn't be a captain, he hasn't played with any of us before and doesn't know our skill level". I was very happy with that comment, it basically showed that you had no idea what I was doing.


Now, for some fireworks. I've wanted to do this for about the past 3 months. Finally, I've decided to do it. I'm going to stop playing subterfuge. Hopefully not forever, but at least a lot less than I am right now. I've already cut myself down from what I was playing a couple months ago, but now I want to fully remove myself. It's a bit of a personality thing, that if I get involved in something I get overly involved in it. Clubs, sports, games like this. School/life is getting a bit busier, I can't keep up the commitment to subterfuge. I do not plan to fully remove myself. I don't think that's possible for me. But I will be playing a lot less. The 2 for 1 game will continue with me in it. But after that, I'm done for the month of June. Then, depending on whether or not I get the summer job I'm looking for, I may play on and off during the summer. However, I will still be active on the forums. School is very boring, I have free time during class I can come here during and do the normal stuff. But for the next little while, I'll be less active.

It'll be strange, not having subterfuge obligations. But, I need to put life first. I had some really good times with everyone, you guys are amazing. But it's time for me to slip away. I think I'm going to appoint TW as admiral of the High Rollers, if he agrees to that. So, have fun without me, and I hope the forums don't fall apart without me

TL;DR (cause you guys are lazy ): MathWhiz = Crover, I'm leaving for a while.

Tagging my little comment on here too. I will be less active in the summer as well simply because it's busier for me. I really only ever play 1 game at a time, so that shouldn't change but I'll probably post a little less. I don't plan to quit either summer is just busier. I'll be going strong again next fall, plus I still have weekends

I applaud you Mr. Whiz. Amazing experiment. I am thoroughly surprised that "cover" is actually you. That explains why the hibernating bear was so inactive compared to the rest of us. (Or maybe we are just addicts) You really had me fooled and I might steal your idea in the future when all this "Crover" business has died down. In regards to you slowing down the subterfuge train, I wish you good luck with life.

I made nothing of it at the time, but when I said Crover shouldn't be captain, I meant it. But now that I know the truth, I can just imagine you looking at your iPad, smirk on your face, laughing at my ignorance. Congratulations on on fooling everyone.

Pausing and slowing down Subterfuge is of course understandable (everyone experiences the vicious cycle of Subterfuge), but remember, you're here forever
