  • Further evidence supporting my previous post. I'm aware stats are not irrefutable evidence but I consider it indicative towards multiboxing activity.

  • And to be clear I'm reffering to the definition of multiboxing where people who know each other irl play in support of each other. As far as I'm aware this fits the description of multiboxing according to the rulebook's code of conduct:

"Playing with more than one account in the same game (aka multiboxing). This includes directly or indirectly controlling another player."

Correct me if I'm wrong here and I'll drop it, because, like I said, I'm only assuming the definition at this point

  • If I am wrong about the definition, it's worth noting these three are playing rated games together for anybody who wants to know lol

  • It's either ban all cooperation or nothing. Multiboxers will appear they multiple persons but they not. They will play role their other accounts as their are different persons. They will even make an effort to write you from all their accounts so you believe it's someone else.

  • You aren't wrong Contred. Just because you can't catch all the code of conduct breakers doesn't mean you can't list the ones you highly suspect with good reason. There can be people working together that looks like multiboxers. You can invite your real life or online friends to get a game started and even work together a good amount of times but working together all the time is pretty shady. People losing may also gift their specs away. In my opinion gifting should just be disabled.

I emailed the devs, and they said that solving multiboxing is much harder to fix/track than just looking for an IP address because say three different people are playing subterfuge from say, there work office and one of them multiboxers and the other two don't. The devs would ban IP, thus removing the multiboxers, but ALSO getting rid of the two completely legit players from the game.

well we can't track IPs as that would mean any legit 2 people playing on the same wifi would be banned.
What we can do instead is track the IMEI code of the device they are using or the model no. of the device.
A user can switch his/her device with ease.. but if 2 accounts have the same IMEI no. on them then that just means they are multiboxing..

  • Aside from identifying devices, are the Devs able to monitor in game chats of suspected multiboxers in real time?
