Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • Hello, I'm a noob with a question.
If someone hasn't logged in for 48hr and because their territory borders mine, is it bad etiquette to gift them to keep this wall strong?
As I've read an article on sock/multi accounts. And do not want fingers pointed.
    :-)

Great little game this, I'm very much enjoying it.

  • Ummmmmmm......don't do that. That player has autoresigned he can't play the game anymore, he's out. Take his stuff don't make him stronger.

If by "keep the wall stronger" you mean you want to use his outposts as a buffer from enemies you can do that, but I'd just take the bases if I were you. You can have an attack land right after the enemies attack to take the base after your opponent has wasted a bunch of drillers taking it.

  • If they haven't logged on in 48 hours, chances are they'll autoresign and be removed from the game. At which poin, you should get as many outposts as you can.

And gifting drillers doesn't mean multi accounts. I think the forums are getting a bit too hyped over something so insignificant. If you make it look really suspicious, someone may call you out on it. That's just part of the game, deny the, as best you can. But if you're just allies with someone and want to gift them, by all means go ahead.

But, like I said at the start, 48 hours of inactivity is not a good sign from them

  • There is no bad etiquette in that. You should never really have to worry about being accused of multi boxing. Almost always the only times people are falsely accused of multi-boxing is when they are playing with a friend they know in real life, which sometimes causes them to treat that person differently than everyone else. Additionally, if you chat with your neighbors you can keep things friendly and explain yourself if they are suspicious of you.

Honestly, it is an interesting strategy to try and keep dead outposts as a wall so that it is less likely for that neighbor to attack you. However, I would agree with Aclonicy on this one, as long you don't have to waste too many drillers to take them, it is almost always better to take the bases for yourself. • Wise words topkilla.
Sadly this match has been a bit boring. After the players that left or just didn't turn up, it ended with just 3 of us. I went on an early land grab then spammed security chiefs and turtled.

Is each map random? There was a lack of generators on this one.

Yep. You must've been in a factory heavy map, but some are generator heavy, and some balanced.

  • I'm in a new game. And again many players have resigned for apparently no reason. Doe this happen a lot?

  • That will happen when there are new players in the game. A lot of people join, but don't really like the game so they just give up. If you have L2, you could try playing a rated game, there's normally less dropouts there. Or, if you still only have L1, you could try and join a forums game when one opens, because we almost never resign
