Resignation before start?

Hi, I'm currently in an L2 game where the host decided to start with only myself and one other player (3 total)! That's not what I signed up for and I'm considering resigning before the game starts, but I was curious if that would still count as a being last place in terms of my rank? I only really play anonymously, so I'm not overly worried about my profile stats, but I'm curious in general, what are the consequences of resigning after initiation but before start?

Pretty sure it does go on your record. So you would lose rank based on the results.

It goes on your record, and you lose points.
That's a mean strategy if him and the other person are allied.
