The map isn't round

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • The map is not round, it is a repeating square. You can easily tell by zooming outall the way. When completely zoomed out, it is a square and the diagonals are farther away than the side lengths. I just wanted to clarify a mathematical error that many n00bs are making in my games.

  • It's a torus
My faith has found a resting place,
    Not in device or creed;
    I trust the ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
    I need no other argument,
    I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

  • Have you taken into account spherical map projections in your assessment ?

  • Now wait, isn't it a sphere? Now that I think about it, how could we tell the difference between a sphere and a torus?

  • Bring out the shovels! It is time to dig up an old post!

  • Thanks z. I say it's a torus just because I've heard. I do not personally know, but I'm pretty sure it's not a rectangle.

  • I found it and was about to post it when my computer teacher automatically logged out every computer.

Finally at a study hall and I can update it.

  • The map is a square as you can see if you completely zoom out. it just teleports you to the opposite side when you reach an edge.

Visually it's a square, but the earth looks flat when you are on it. Mathematically it's a Torus, look at Z's link.

  • Huh, I guess since it has no poles it's a torus. Interesting.
I'm highly suspicious of your motivations.
