  • Type: Attack/Other
    Icon: Bulldozer plow
Description: When attacking, 50% of the drillers belonging to a resigned or eliminated player are destroyed. Combat priority: 7
Flavor Text: One can't fight well without a leader.

Makes it easier to sweep up an enemy you just defeated.

  • In sub to outpost combat, are you attacking or defending?

Apart from that, I like it.

  • I don't know? Can an eliminated player attack you?

  • Very interesting concept. Replace "During sub-to-sub or sub-to-outpost" with "When attacking." That's how it is worded for the thief.

I do appreciate that it is 50% instead of some set number. This prevents someone from taking bases from a resigned player with 0 driller loss while still making it useful against huge stacks from factories that never stopped producing. I imagine having 2 on a sub would just cause them to activate twice one after the other, much like the thief.

Sadly, I feel it falls short in the same aspect many Specialist Ideas do, it is too situational. In games with fewer people (especially a 1v1) it would have close to little use. Although I would appreciate a specialist that promotes an aggressive playstyle -- making it more beneficial to take out an opponent as soon as possible -- turtling is a very strong strategy which prevents this spec from being more useful.

They could only attack you if they have already launched a sub before they were eliminated/resigned. Any future orders are cancelled upon someone's death.

Good point. I considered this mainly for large games (8-10 players) where the Demolitionist can quickly gain fallen territory as a means of fast expansion.

Perhaps this specialist promotes from the Infiltrator, so that when you're not tunneling against Security Chiefs, you're breaking drillers without a cause. A 10 shield drain effect would carry over (instead of 20).

Having it as a promotion actually makes a lot of sense. Use the original specialist in order to kill someone, then promote it in order to quickly grab all of their leftover bases. Although I'm not certain whether or not it should be a promotion for the infiltrator or some other specialist, having it destroy shields works well with how it is intended to grab dead bases.

  • I think this is a bit too weak to be a promoted spec. Much less promoted from an infiltrator. I think it should use its ability against shields as well.
