Lol crazy game not over yet/what's yours?

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • To be fair, it wasn't a true game. Also, it was literally impossible for him to win the game normally.
I'm highly suspicious of your motivations.

  • I'm in a pretty intense game right now, with the weirdest start I've encountered.
So its a ranked game, 8 player mining.
I join in, make allies, and all is good. Then, the orange player (my neighbour) pipes up in the public chat in regards to beige (my neighbour also) and his "aggressive expansion". Orange says to gift all subs to the rightful owner and "appropriate consequences will follow". Odd, I thought, but I let it go. Regardless, I quickly saw an opportunity to capitalize on beige, not having made any prior agreements with him. Orange decided to get mad at me for "not allowing for a friendly and equal expansion and development for a good game".
    I was like fuck that.
I explained to orange that this game is all about attacking, and that this doesn't concern him. Beige was all up in arms over my attack (of course), and a few others decided to jump in on their side of the fight. I can't believe at this point that so many people believe that attacking early in the game is not fair, but I'm sure many are just finding an easy target to gang up on.
Alas, orange launches a full attack on me, even though we had a NAP. Brought this to his attention, he didn't care. My other two neighbour allies turned on me too, and I had to deal with three massive forces coming at me. Well, let's see how this turned out...

Orange - First sends a small force with a foreman and a lieutenant. Loses, and I use my hypo to convert them to my side. Sweet.
Then sends 70 drillers, a navigator, a smuggler, and his queen. I had 50ish drillers, a hypo, a smuggler, lieutenant and a foreman. He was going to win, but I had a hire available, with a second coming up. So just before, I promote to a king. He changes route towards another base of mine, and without shields, he would win. But, I had an inspector hire, so I moved my queen to that outpost, and hired the inspector as late as possible. Unfortunately, he changed routes back to his outpost. Almost eliminated him... drats
Pink - Kinda just threw everything at me. Hundreds of drillers, but broken up into small attacks that my king countered easily. Sent 94 drillers at me, but my DA destroyed that. Hah Threw a lone War hero at me, which I captured, and was able to trade for some drillers. Eventually, he hired some princesses and a sentry which messed up my reinforcements, and lost an outpost. But, regardless, he lost way more than I did.
Olive - Threw a lot also. Most was easily countered, but he cost me a couple outposts unfortunately. Thankfully, I humiliated him. Beige resigned, and so I took two of his outposts. Orange sent 17 drillers at one of those that I took, but I would have kept it. Olive sent 40 to land just after, taking an easy win. So, I sent reinforcements that would land just after Olive, and evacuated the outpost. Olive's attack hits all 17 of orange (which is more than what I would have had if I didnt evacuate), and my next attack wins it back. Heh

So. The is only a few days in. Really stupid guys with really stupid reasoning. Unfortunately, because of all of this, I will most likely not place in the top 3, considering I had 3 forces attacking me at once. But, fun to counter
    That is my wacky story.
Also, sorry for that wall of text

  • Nice plays tho.
My faith has found a resting place,
    Not in device or creed;
    I trust the ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
    I need no other argument,
    I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

  • Update on my insanely long story above:

Orange tried it again: he sent his queen at me with a nav, and 100 drillers. So, my smuggler-queen-inspector arrived just before... and the idiot forgot to check in. So, he is eliminated. Sweet. Even sweeter: I had a hypo next hire that would convert the nav and queen. Even sweeter (?!): ten minutes before his queen landed, he had a sub scheduled to attack another one of my bases... with a smuggler, thief, and inspector. And so, since I will win the fight, my hypnotist will convert those to my side too. I now have an empty border on one side, three smugglers, and enough force to obliterate my other traitorous neighbour.
I'm really glad that the douche who tried to control the game from the start and broke our NAP was eliminated by his own incompetence
    Heh

  • 10 player domination, with myself as the host, named, "The Shekel House." The first time I saw MathWhiz9 in a game. At the time i was a forum lurker and not a poster, and was so starstruck at the opportunity to work with a legendary forumer that I immediately cancelled an alliance with one of my neighbors so I could work with this guy. Meanwhile, a self-professed Jew was triggered by my choice of game name and player name that he joined with a second account and fed himself specialists in an effort to break my game. Math and I joined with two other players, beat out our respective opponents, then took down the malignant multiboxer ( at this point he was being fed by 3 other players including his alt account) in an epic boss fight.

I walked out with three sentries, 5 princesses or so, and 3 kings. Victory was mine.
