Ok this is crazy a game I'm in is on day 20 and nowhere near complete. The entire map is covered by sentrys. I've got 6 kings a bunch of tycoons.
What's your craziest game

Probably the main reason I don't play domination games - looks like it just becomes really ridiculous.
I think the longest game I've played has gone to 12 days maybe... there's a certain point when specialists just completely take over.

Would be more interesting if there was a max number of specialist hires. Maybe after 10 day it just cuts off and you make do with what you've got.

Every time I'm considering trying a domination game I see one of these posts and it reminds me that I don't really want to a specialist crazy game that goes on forever.

My longest is also around 12-13 days - it was anonymous and everyone was too paranoid to mine so it was 8-9 days before anyone started mining (and sure enough, when I dropped those two mines because the game was going on so long I was immediately ganged up on by everyone). But a big part of the reason I mined was because it was getting a little ridiculous. Several people had 2 kings, one person had 3, and it was clear the specialists were getting out of control.

Two mines was probably too much, need to go slow so people don't think it's urgent to take you down... Need to be able to deflect people elsewhere or promise funding

Generally I agree - in this case I was there were three of us who were all way more powerful than the rest and the other two were my allies. Unfortunately they decided not to honor our alliance and instead of mining themselves ganged up on me (even when I offered funding to ensure they would medal with me). Another player was turtling but with so many princesses he could see the whole map - he gave me info on them and I was able to preemptively attack and eliminate one former ally and hold off the other while rallying other players in order to pull off the win. It was overall one of the most interesting games I've played so far (only played 7 though).

It was definitely a risk and I was expecting some betrayal which is why I made sure my borders were reinforced before doing it (which is why I was able to eliminate the second most powerful player in less than 48 hours from when I was told he was about to betray me).

Longest I've had was 15 days for a mining game. It was brutal. Some players weren't getting enough sleep and became "irritable."

I had a game which lasted 72 days. Please.
