Does anyone know the math behind the ratings system? Is it a true ELO system?

it's this one: http://sradack.blogspot.com/2008/06/elo ... ayers.html

we're starting out with K=100 and will adjust it down the line if need be. let us know if 100 ends up feeling like too much or too little.

Did you end up staying with a K value of 100?

I just finished my first ranked game and the gains seems higher than expected. If it is still 100, is there a higher K value for the bigger games? I noticed the first few games appearing on the leaderboard had the winners at a value of 1270 which implies a k value closer to 140.

no, we lowered K but but ended up calculating your rating delta as having won against everyone ranked below you and lost to everyone ranked above you.

the reasoning being that winning a 10 player game should give you a much bigger boost than winning a 2 player game. each individual K is 20.

Sounds good. I had wondered what would happen during a 2 player rated game and if the winner got the same increase as in a 10 player game. Sound like a good system.
