I have noticed something with the king update: ending king stacks actually increased king usage. Before people used king stacks as an entire strategy but now it's just a one time boost. People now use other strategies with the king. I think all spec stacks should receive the same nerf. In the late game many non global specs become nearly obsolete. I think that simply spamming tycoons or admirals isn't the meta we want because it's too stale. I want complicated strategy with specialist combos and complicated multi part attacks. Even though you will only have one of each stack, they will be more useful. This is secretly a buff to all the weak globals. You now will get it just because it's a global, not with the intention of stacking. For example: a general will now not be stacked but you will get a lot more value from that one general because there will be local specs everywhere.
Balances:
1. King shield reduction should be lowered to 10. This is to make your single security chief actually make a difference on all outposts even when you have a king.
2. Increase the spec slots on sub's to 4 or 5. We need space to fit the extra abundance of local specs.
3. Nerf assassins to only 1 per hire. Assassins will be a lot more popular with the local specs all over the front lines. They need to be nerfed to give room for other specs. The new meta might finally include elders to counter these assassins.
4. I can't believe I'm saying this but the INFILTRATOR MIGHT need a nerf because it will always be paired with a speed spec and everyone will have a security chief and the king doesn't fully get rid of shields.
