  • Hey everyone!

so im playing some games for the past few days and came up with some ideas which would make the game better(in my opinion)

-notifications: this is really getting out of hand. im a passionate player so im playing multiple games at once and i get so many notifications, its crazy(like 30 over night) and in general once every 20mins or sth.
i like notifications but this is a little too much. my idea is to create the option to set which notifications you want and maybe for which games you want to activate them. for ex. i dont really need to be notified when someone is getting a new specialist or if any subs appear on my radar that dont target me. the notifications i like are when im getting attacked or if i get a new message.

-hide pregame sub distribution: the best thing you can do when a game starts is set your subs at the very last minute. its better because lets say player A has sent 20 drillers to outpost X 1 hour before the game starts. if youre online shortly before the start you see his 20 drillers pointing at X so you can just send 21 to win the outpost. this gives an unfair advantage. so the best thing would be to hide all pregame preparations and make them visible like usual once the game starts.

-RL teams. (this suggestion wont make sense in the alpha with a low playerbase, useful for launch).some people play with their real life friends which gives them a big advantage because they dont have to negociate and will never betray each other. so my suggestion once we have a big enough playerbase: add a queue where each player has to apply on his own. the server then collects all applications and randomly(with some algorithms to avoid having friends in the same game) assigns them to a game. this feature should at least be there for ranked games but i prefer to have it on public games aswell. maybe add a friend queue aswell and be matched with other rl-friend-pairs?

what do you think about it?

  • On the pregame sub distribution, I think you can just scroll 10 minutes forward into the future and launch your subs then. Then no one can see how many you have headed where. I like being able to see though, it opens up communication before I even launch. "Oh, we're both headed there?"

  • I agree about the notifications and have mentioned before about at least stacking them so there aren't so many individual ones.

The idea about randomly placing players is quite interesting in that it will also solve the problem of people with multiple accounts in the same game.

  • True about notifications, and the idea about getting random enemies is very important for the future of this game. Otherwise it gets annoying because you gonna have premades every single game. However, you could still make a premade queue , where premades can play against other premades so its a battle between 2-man-teams, or at least let the invite Option open for non-ranked games since many pple like to play it with friends (i myself are trying to get my GF to play it WITH me )

  • lol purplepanda, I just managed to convince my wife to download the game. She is working her way through the tactical missions trying to figure it all out.
