Suggestion: disable unimportant notifications

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • So my main gripe with this game is that I get far too many unimportant notifications on my phone.
For example I get a notification every time I detect a sub on my border or whenever an opponent hires a specialist.

What makes it worse is that these notifications say that I have a new message. If a player messages me I want to see it so I'm forced to open the app to check.

My solution would be to change it so that only player messages and subs launched at your lands cause phone notifications and that like the current subs detected message shows exactly what the notification is about.

Sorry if this is a bit rambling. Keep up the good work

  • Agreed. At least they are stacked now, at least on Android anyway.

Noel and Ron have already said they are working on changing the notifications system.

  • One thing that might help: we have 3 kinds of notification sounds: a message, something really important happening (attack launched against you), and normal notifications. Once you learn them, it helps you know when you really need to check them game.

But yes, we're planning on giving you some more control over what your receive.

  • Noel is right, the different notification sounds are incredibly useful.
However, I, like most people, leave my phone on vibrate for most of the day, so all notifications feel the same. And it is frustrating to have my phone vibrate a dozen times during class because my ally is shuffling some units around.

  • If you go to settings > notifications > subterfuge and turn off sounds, I think it also turns off the vibration too.
