New Game Modes?

Hey,

Love the game! However in my first game alone I had 3 people resign, 2 to lack of activity and 1 due to the 'game going too slow'.

I know this is the aim of the game, and this happens anyway, but would it be possible to make a game mode thats played out over, say a day, or even a few hours?
I don't see it being too difficult, as all that would be needed is the timers to be scaled down?

Even if a quick mode is played against AI to test it out? Then if the game goes for say, 12 hours, you can pause and come back to the game the next day/ whenever you want a quick fix of Subterfuge. And obviously have the normal 1 week games playing out too for those who value diplomacy/ tactics over time etc etc

Just a thought to make this game even better!

I'd also love to see a quick version of the game, no idea if it would work out or not.

Players quitting is gonna be more common with so many new players in games at the moment. It should happen rarely in rated games.

I feel like this would risk losing some people to just playing AI mode because they're scared of PVP (not uncommon), which would lose them because they miss the depth of the game.

Maybe a sandbox mode where one can draw up a custom scenario and play all sides of it would be better? That way we avoid losing players to the boring-AI-boring-game trap, but we still get a "test environment" to play in.

That would be even better! Could create any number of possibilities.
1v1, 2v2, even 1v3 etc etc to see how good you are!
