  • Sorry if there is another post of the same info.

    Do specialists bonuses stack up?

So 1 Admiral will give you 50% more speed on driller only subs, does 2 give you 100% or just not?

I would think this would be a no but I have not been able to test it out myself.

    Thanks

  • Some do and some don't. Over at the wiki...

    http://subterfuge.wikia.com/wiki/Subterfuge_Game_Wikia

... we have listed them as either static abilities (like 300%) or additive abilities (like +25%)

To be more specific, the Admirals global abilities do stack as you have suggested, though it is only on subs containing no specialists. For those subs, they run at the speed of the specialists in attendance and don't get a bonus.

Several versions ago of the game, the Admirals were crazy powerful because they buffed everyone, though at a lower amount... so you could get Smugglers running at almost 6x and Helmsmen at 3x or 4x.

It may feel a bit incongruous that the Admiral does buff subs carrying other specialists, but it's just too powerful.

  • What a well written reply! Thanks!

The idea is great but can see subs carrying specialists with silly speed boosts being game breaking. The day this game is unbalanced is the day it ends.

Just when I thought I new enough about this game I find out I do not know enough lol.

Will take a look at that wiki, thanks.

This was looked at throughout the beta. At some points there were some crazy combinations that allowed for some super fast subs. However these have been changed to reduce their impact.

I know at times you will find certain combinations that look unstoppable. I've had this happen a few times. But with most combinations there are a few different ways to stop it and you just have to learn what they are. Sometimes there is nothing you can do except learn for next time.
