Either I'm stupid (the more probable case) and unable to find the options menu to switch off the game sound, or there is no such a menu in the program. What is correct?

Notification controls are in the work though. I'm hoping this will also include controls over the in-game sound.

I'm assuming these are global notifications, and not notifications you can set on a per game basis?

I don't believe we know the details yet.
