Hello subderfuge community
Specialists are by far the most interesting part of the game and community made specialists are always pretty interesting. I was just having a think about some new specialists that could be added in a future update or even DLC. Anyway here are a few interesting ones I thought of.
Stealth Artist
Destroys 10 enemy drillers in combat. He does not appear on your opponents sonar.
Strategist
All of your opponents specialists get +3 to thier combat priority
Escape artist
You may launch a sub from your sub. This sub gets +.25 speed
Any thoughts on the balance or functionality of these theoretical specialists?

You mean -3 for your specialist proirities? But i think 3 is way too much, maybe 1 to start off with and 2 when promoted
Also, Stealth Artist could be "Others cannot know contents of sub. Travels 1.25 times slower than normal subs", and no 'preview combat' stats come up if they try to intercept it with 1 driller, etc.

Also, there should be a small number of specialists you can only get after you've gotten X many medals, and so on, that would be interesting. You'd be like, 'oh I didn't even know that specialist existed' when others use it...

Decryptor
You are able to see the sonar of enemy bases that are in this officer's sonar range.
Promotes to
Master Spy
You may read all communications of players that are in this spy's sonar range.
I guess that would force players to seek out-of-app communication though, which wouldn't be fun.

I'm against the idea of dlc or the medal thing.
Medals would give seasoned players more advantage then they experience already gives them. DLC gives advantages to players with money. Or there should be games that are only accessible to players that have no DLC.
Anyways, new specialists are always a good idea and there are some interesting ideas.

Well, when I say few, I'm talking about like 5, and its not necessarily an advantage, its just another option and a way to keep the game exciting ("ohhh If I win this game I'll be able to use the ______ next!!!")

But even 1 gives a player who has that one an advantage over a new player. I like it that in this game the chances for every player are even in the beginning. The only thing that lets you lose ore win are your and your enemy's decisions.

I do not think a medal system would work. However maybe if the creator of the game enables the DLC pack then all people in that game could use The DLC pack he enabled. I only suggested DLC because it could bring in a new stream of revenue for the developers. Also the strategist giving -1 to all of your specialists would be better.

Basically DLC is a good idea. They just have to keep the balancing in mind. It would be extremely frustrating to lose a game just because the other player payed something for the advantage.

I have a new idea for an interesting specialist.
Pacifist
Your sub cannot be be in sub to sub combat.
(The subs pass through one another)
This sound like it could be useful with martyrs or queens or attacking bases in general. Any thoughts?
