Question about the General

The text reads "For each specialist present during combat, general destroys 5 enemy drillers." I assume the General has to be present for this to work, correct? I was just wondering if it meant that all specialists in every battle, no matter where the General is located, destroys 5 drillers.

We need to work on making the wording more clear, but the General's ability is global, so it's for any sub that you own that has any specialists, it will destroy 5 drillers on the enemy side. Yes, he's pretty awesome

Looks like the text changed in the latest update "When one or more of your specialists participates in combat, 10 enemy drillers are destroyed." So seems to me, not quite as powerful anymore. Still good, but if you had 3 specialists involved in combat before, you would destroy 15 drillers...now it's just 10 no matter how many specialists.

roger's correct. we gimped the general a bit because with two generals would give every sub of 3 specialists a +30, but worse, an outpost with with 8 specialists would get +40 with just one general. it made it pretty much impossible to eliminate a player once they've holed up in their last bastion.
