Specialist Ideas: Architect and Enforcer

Architect: When a sub leaves an outpost with the Architect, all shields are dropped to zero and converted into drillers on the sub. The sub may only utilize these drillers in the next combat or they are forfeited upon landing.

Enforcer: Produces X Drillers each X Hour(s) on any sub that is in transit containing the Enforcer.

I like these though maybe the names should be swapped? Maybe one is an upgrade of the other?

haha, so the enforcer turns any sub into a floating generator? i like that this means it would be in your best interest to keep it in transit as often as you can.

so can you bounce the architect around multiple outposts loading it with shield power?

The Architect can't be bounced, drillers are forfeited if they land without combat. But you can land and use the shields gained from landing. You'd want an inspector with you or you'd have to wait and generate shields first.

Architect + pirate = OP
All you need to make sure is that the pirate returns to the outpost that has the most defense, so you would definitely be able to completely destroy any subs with less than 30 drillers (and probably 40 or 50), especially considering that the pirate travels 4x normal speed to his nearest outpost

That would be pretty difficult to accomplish unless you have a navigator. And even then so you have quite the decrease in speed unless targeting another sub. Can't choose where the pirate returns especially if you're attacking someone else's subs. And if you navigate to land somewhere else, your 4x speed is gone.

It definitely has more consequences late game but nothing that I think can't be balanced.

As fate mentioned it could be a 2nd tier, upgraded specialist as well.

I don't mean OP as in, its unbalanced or anything, it would just be a good combination to basically destroy off any subs under maybe 40 drillers that pass next to your outpost
