This is to confirm that, as of this morning, 2/13/17, it appears that this issue HAS NOT been resolved for me. Since the game only works for me on wifi and not on cellular data, I have not been checking regularly. When I read on this thread that the issue was resolved for someone, I checked and it IS NOT resolved for me.
I did email the devs directly using the in-game email function.
