Inital Launch Timing Error

  • Hey guys,

    I started a couple new games over the last few days, ect, ect.

    When launches are set to launch, in the last minute it usually counts down from 60.

    I didn't see this, it just went from 1 minute to launched. This put me at a large starting disadvantage.



    Anyone else seeing this?

  • I've actually never seen the time machine count down seconds to the start!
    I always assumed everything worked in 10 tick intervals.
    Remember that 0.1 hours is not the same as 10 mins or 1 min, but rather 6 mins, but the game can't calculate that so it's a bit bothersome.

  • I think that's what he is saying panda. He wanted it to count down from 60 until the game actually started but it doesn't count down it just stays at .1 until the games starts and actions are locked in at 0. Not sure why he oils like to see a countdown timers before the game begins though as ticking 10mins into the future seems to have worked for me all the time

    Ninja launches and expected behavior of game mechanics.

    Some people set launches 10 minutes after game start to take advantage of now known launch routes.

    I had 39 sent to one base and one driller sent to another. The other guys see this.

    Now my intention is to cancel this specific launch just before 10 minutes. Why? Because the other guy is sitting on 40 and hasn't done anything with them.

    Lo-And-Behold 10 minutes goes by and he launches 7 subs at the base my one was going to.

    So why did this give me a disadvantage?

    Expected game mechanics.

    In previous games I've seen it go from 1m until launch to a 60 second countdown timer. It was my intention to cancel around 20 seconds before.

    For whatever reason it showed 1 minute until launch and then just launched.

    Either this is a Ninja Update (which would really suck.)

    Or it's a bug which is why I am reporting it. (Or a refresh failure or something)

    Now he's producing drillers at a base I should have had.
