Smuggler launch turns red

Every launch involving a smuggler goes red in the time machine. The launches happen anyways, but turn red. It only turns red when fast forwarding in the time machine; it can be temporarily fixed by removing the smuggler from the launch and adding him again.

I've noticed this too! I'm always worried something won't work right. For me it appears to happen when I have a smuggler arrive at an outpost and leave immediately. If I let it wait 10 minutes the problem goes away.

Time machine sometimes will identify some launches (mostly ones with Smugglers) as incorrect and show up red. However, I have found that simply removing and then adding (or waiting 10 minutes) a specialist from the sub will fix that.
I have no idea why though...

You can also remove and re-add any number of drillers to fix it. I do this constantly, even though it will clearly launch despite displaying red.
